YPN Iowa City Raises Over $10,000 for RSF

The Annual Bags Tournament has become one of the most anticipated events of the year, and this summer’s edition helped set a new fundraising record for the event. The Iowa City Area Association of REALTORS® and their Young Professionals Network (YPN) dedicated 2023’s tournament to raising money for the Red Shamrock Foundation.

Hosted at Big Grove Brewery in Iowa City, Realtors, Affiliates, and members of the public alike competed against one another in a single-elimination bags tournament to see who could claim the Toilet Trophy. Similar to the last iteration, this year’s Bags Tournament had a full bracket of 32 teams who squared off for the championship.

When competitors were done playing bags, there was also a raffle for a tailgate kit, a custom bags set, and a solo stove, along with a game of Heads n’ Tails with the prize of a free year of car washes from Hawk Wash. On top of that, attendees could take their aim at the Dunk Tank that featured some the Association’s most well-known faces. All of the money raised at the event went directly to support the mission of the RSF to support the unique healthcare needs of childhood cancer survivors and their families.

At last year’s Bags Tournament, YPN Iowa City was able to raise a record-breaking $7727. Thanks to the support and passion of members and volunteers alike, we were able to break that record yet again, raising $10,865 for RSF.

The Iowa City Area Association of REALTORS and YPN Iowa City are proud to support RSF as they offer care and assistance to pediatric cancer survivors through director assistance, education, and inspiration.
