After a brief hiatus in 2020, the Iowa City Area Association of REALTORS® and their Young Professionals Network (YPN) were able to bring back the much anticipated Annual Bags Tournament to raise money for this year’s charity of choice, the Domestic Violence Intervention Program (DVIP).

Hosted at Big Grove Brewery in Iowa City, Realtors, Affiliates, and members of the public participated in the single-elimination tournament to see who would walk away with the infamous Toilet Trophy. In addition to the tournament, this year there was a raffle as well as a Dunk Tank filled with a rotation of Association favorites. All of the money raised at the event went directly to support the mission of DVIP to provide comprehensive support and services to the victims and survivors of domestic violence.

At the last Bags Tournament in 2019, YPN Iowa City was able to raise $3106. Due to the dedicated efforts from all of our members and volunteers, we were able to double that amount this year, raising $6325 for DVIP.

The Iowa City Area Association of REALTORS and YPN Iowa City are proud to support DVIP as they strive to end domestic abuse through education, accountability, and social justice.
