Iowa City YPN raises over $11K for United Action of Youth
The Annual Bags Tournament has become one of the most anticipated events of the year, and this summer’s edition helped set a new fundraising record once again. The Iowa City Area Association of REALTORS® and their Young Professionals Network (YPN) dedicated 2025’s tournament to raising money for United Action for Youth (UAY) and their work with the Transitional Living Program.
Hosted at Big Grove Brewery in Iowa City, REALTORS®, Affiliates, and members of the public competed in a single-elimination bags tournament for a shot at the coveted Toilet Trophy. Just like in previous years, this year’s tournament featured a full 32-team bracket, with participants squaring off for bragging rights and community pride.
Beyond the bags competition, attendees enjoyed a vibrant evening filled with raffle prizes—including an Ooni pizza oven, a custom-painted bags set made by youth from UAY, and a large-scale game of Heads or Tails with a year of free car washes from Hawk Wash as the prize. The event also offered local food, drinks, and games, making it a high-energy celebration of giving back.
Thanks to the overwhelming support from our members, affiliates, and the community, we raised an astounding $11,785 in support of UAY’s mission to provide stability, safety, and opportunity for local youth experiencing homelessness.
The Iowa City Area Association of REALTORS® and YPN Iowa City are proud to support United Action for Youth as they empower young people through advocacy, housing support, and essential services in our community.
