As the school year approaches, ICAAR is inviting members to participate in a school supply drive for the Ready, Set, School program.
This initiative, led by United Way, The Salvation Army, Neighborhood Centers of Johnson County, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Johnson County, Open Heartland, and Johnson County Community Violence Intervention, helps support local K–12 students with the supplies they need to start the year prepared.
How You Can Help
There are several simple ways to get involved:
- Request a collection bin
Have a bin placed at your office for easy donation collection.
(Bin requests are limited per office/building location.) - Make a financial donation
Contribute directly through the United Way donation portal: Donate to United Way
Donors can note that their gift supports ICAAR’s school supply effort. - Drop off supplies directly
Supplies can be delivered to the ICAAR office:
847 Quarry Rd., Suite 110, Coralville
Items Needed
This year’s drive highlights a continued need for:
- Backpacks
- Markers
- Folders
- General school supplies
Why It Matters
Participation in this effort directly supports local students as they begin the school year. Even small contributions collectively make a meaningful impact in classrooms across the community.
