Building Mental Health Kits

This summer, several members of Iowa City Area Association of REALTORS masked up and came together to assemble over 100 Mental Health Kits for students within our Association’s service area.

These kits were filled with tools and resources for children to manage stress and anxiety in healthy ways; Items such as journals, coloring supplies, fidget spinners and clay. Once assembled, the kits were dropped off at United Action for Youth (UAY), a facet of the United Way of Johnson and Washington Counties that focuses on the youth population.

UAY will keep these kits on hand and distribute them as needed to students within the local school districts who may be struggling to focus in class, going through a difficult time, or just needing some extra support.

Iowa City Area Association of REALTORS is proud to partner with UAY, and to help students in our community start out the new school year with healthier habits, especially in a year like this.
