The Iowa City Area Association of REALTORS® proudly continued its annual Brings Home the Holidays project in 2025, bringing together six Iowa City Area brokerages to support seven local families in need who were nominated by members of our community.
Once again, ICAAR partnered with United Way of Johnson & Washington Counties’ Adopt-A-Family Program, helping expand the reach and impact of this meaningful initiative. As the presenting sponsor, ICAAR contributed to a program that served 193 families, sponsored 825 individuals, and achieved a 100 percent family adoption rate in 2025.
Through Brings Home the Holidays, each participating brokerage was matched with a family and received a personalized holiday wish list. Agents and staff worked together to shop for gifts, collect items, and wrap presents for every family member. While each brokerage approached the process in its own way, the shared goal remained the same: helping ensure families could experience a joyful and supported holiday season.
This project continues to highlight the commitment REALTORS® have to serving their community beyond their day-to-day work. ICAAR is grateful for the generosity and time contributed by its members and partners each year, which makes this program possible.
